Agenda/Notes
- Updates and announcements
- UMD has a number of local projects, unable to contribute to Fedora 6 sprints in the short-term
- Moving a number of local VMs into Kubernetes
- NLM making a similar push
- Migrating outdated CentOS systems
- Not enough support yet to push everything to AWS before EOL
- Also looking at Kubernetes
- NLM Fedora migration testing
- Encountered some errors but these have since been resolved
- Still need to introduce NLM specifics to the new Fedora 6 environment
- Define target end state
- Also working on some load testing
- Fedora 6.x Testing
- Andrew tested creating ~15 million empty containers with no major issues
- Tests have been against Postgres so far, still need to test other DBs
- Also tested S3 but much slower
- Alpha/Beta release
- Planning on a release in November
- Alpha or beta?
- Alpha might not get tested, folks might wait until beta
- What is the target audience?
- Ready for testing outside the tech team
- Alpha/beta distinction is not as important as the context we provide with the release
- What do we need to encourage testing?
- Docker would be ideal for testing
