Ontology calls will be held both this week and next week as we adjust our schedule for the fall semester.  Next week, September 18, will be the first call led by Melissa Haendel.

This week's meeting will be devoted to updates from sites, reviewing the status of open issues, and walking through some of the documentation in progress for the ontology changes for VIVO 1.6, with the ontology upgrade to the Integrated Semantic Framework, or ISF.

If you haven't done so, please add yourself to the ISF/VIVO Ontology Working Group page.

ISF Documentation (in progress)

The wiki documentation is slowly taking shape, with more available on the CTSAconnect website and the ISF home on Google Code

Open issues

The amount of work involved in developing the ISF ontology and adapting the VIVO application to use it has precluded much attention to other open ontology issues or work in progress. As time permits, we can revisit and hopefully prioritize these issues for early consideration in the context of the ISF.
