Knowledge Mobilization Working Group

The working group has had two meetings since the last ontology call and is developing use cases on the Knowledge Mobilization Ontology interest group page in this wiki.

Implementation Fest planning

  • This year's Implementation Fest is hosted again by the University of Colorado and will be held Thursday and Friday, April 25-26 in Boulder, a 45-minute bus ride from Denver International Airport
  • Visit the 2013 VIVO Implementation Fest page for more details on logistics and the schedule as it evolves
  • There will be several ontology sessions at the event, including reviews of the existing ontology and working sessions to work through open issues and address know areas where improvements or extensions have been requested.
  • Please add suggestions for areas of discussion here, which we will try to accommodate in the schedule as we develop it.
    • Research grants – what are the differences between grants, awards, and contracts?  How do NIH and NSF (and other funding agencies) model grants, so that VIVO can align data harvested from NIH RePorter or research.gov?
    • Distinctions among North American, British, continental European, Australian and New Zealand academic position types

VIVO Conference workshop planning

  • The VIVO conference call for workshops is being prepared – does anyone have suggestions of workshops they would either like to participate in giving, or requests for a workshop topic that they would find compelling?
