Contribute to the DSpace Development Fund
The newly established DSpace Development Fund supports the development of new features prioritized by DSpace Governance. For a list of planned features see the fund wiki page.
Working Group Objectives
DSpace Working Groups are teams that are created to achieve a specific set of deliverables and they are often sponsored by the Steering Group. Working Groups tend to have the following properties:
- They have a definitive start and end date
- They have a definitive set of deliverables or expected output
- They report back to the DSpace Team that established the Working Group (usually the Steering Group)
Existing Working Groups
- DSpace Community Advisory Team (DCAT) (permanent) - DCAT is a permanent DSpace Working Group sponsored by the DSpace Steering Group that advises DSpace Program governance groups. DCAT meets monthly. Meetings are open to anyone to attend.
- DSpace Developer Meetings (permanent) - The developer team meets on a weekly basis to discuss the next release, common issues, etc. All meetings are open to anyone to attend, as all DSpace development is done by volunteers

- DSpace 7 Working Group (2016-2023) — The DSpace 7 Working Group was disbanded at the end of June 2023 once DSpace 7 became "feature complete".

- DSpace 7 Entities Working Group (2018-19) — The DSpace 7 Entities Working Group has merged with the DSpace 7 Working Group (2016-2023), to work together on the final 7.0 release.
- DSpace GDPR Working Group (2018-19)
- DSpace Entities Working Group (2017-18) — Working group is retired. Next phase of this work (creating Configurable Entities for DSpace 7) has moved over to the DSpace 7 Entities Working Group (2018-19).
- DSpace UI Prototype Working Group (2015-16) — Working group is retired. Next phase of this work (creating the DSpace 7 UI) has moved over to DSpace 7 Working Group (2016-2023)
- Telling DSpace Stories (TDS) Work Group (2015) — Working group is retired. Please see the DSpace 7 Marketing Working Group (2016-2020) for current DSpace marketing efforts.
