About LC metadata production projects
The Library of Congress is exploring best practices for creating linked data descriptions of audio visual resources, sound recordings, prints and photographs, and monograph, serial, notated music, and cartographic formats.
Deliverables
For audio visual and sound recording resources, print and photograph resources, and monograph, serial, notated music, and cartographic resources:
- Specifications and profiles for the Library of Congress BIBFRAME Editor
- Documentation for describing these resources using the BIBFRAME Editor
- Representative selection of BIBFRAME descriptions
And:
- Description of BIBFRAME compatibility with RDA
- Evaluation of project findings with a set of recommendations for further research and development
- Presentations of project findings to appropriate metadata and linked data communities
