Developers Meeting on Weds, February 16, 2011
Agenda
- First 20+ minutes: JIRA Catch-Up – starting with issue DS-678
- Based on Proposal for a New "Feature Request" Review Process, Committers should start revisiting/responding to DCAT comments on JIRA Feature Requests. To get started this week, it'd be good to revisit the first two Feature Requests that DCAT Reviewed:
- DS-164 - Web Inteface for modifying 'input-forms.xml' (DCAT relevancy/interest vote: +4)
- DS-638 check files on input for viruses, and verify file format (DCAT relevancy/interest vote: +4)
- Full DCAT Discussion of DS-638
- Elin Stangeland has asked to delay discussion of DS-638 until next week (Feb 23), so that she can attend our meeting
- helix84 (Ivan Masár) has asked if we could try to provide some initial feedback on his recent patch today, as he'll be in attendance:
- DS-820 : SFX button + SFX in Mirage
- Other Discussion topics?
- Was 'git' meeting last week useful? Anyone played with git more yet?
- Next "Special Topics" Meeting??
- Discuss improving how DSpace handles Metadata (From past meetings discussions, this seems popular). Several ideas mentioned recently:
- Updating to current DCMI standards: DS-805
- Creating a new "dspace" internal usage schema (for administrative, or non-DC metadata)? Formalize the "dc" schema to be strictly valid QDC/DC?
- Metadata on all DSpace objects (not just Items)
- Discuss forming a "Documentation Management Team"? Or reworking our procedures for managing/reviewing/approving Docs on the Wiki.
