DuraSpace establishes partnerships with organizations (companies, non-profits, consortia, etc.) that wish to provide open source software services with the support of DuraSpace. Support can include marketing, communications, prospecting, and second tier technical assistance as needed. The program has categories for DSpace, Fedora (Samvera/Islandora), VIVO, DuraCloud, and ArchivesDirect.

The program is focused on supporting organizations that actively contribute to DuraSpace stewarded technologies and engage in our communities. Our partners work closely with DuraSpace to identify and pursue new opportunities. Our goal is to encourage more service providers to contribute to the community, promote open source software, and position our partner's services as competitive alternatives to proprietary products.

Our partners make an investment in the technology and a commitment to continue active participation in the open source software communities they serve. Community contributions will be monitored and promoted throughout each term. Our current list of RSPs is available, here: http://duraspace.org/service_providers

The current RSP program will be restructured and rebranded in 2018 to offer more ways to collaborate with DuraSpace for different types of service providers in our community, large and small. More information on these changes will be made available in February 2018.

If you’d like to be involved or ask a question, please contact Erin Tripp at etripp@duraspace.org.
