The results below stem from a WCMC team’s brain storm session on 9/8/11. Their intent is to create additional use cases and further detail them to provide input to the development team on both features and priorities.
Researcher use cases
- Ability to edit profile
- Delegate someone to edit
- Print a CV or biosketch
- Produce reports in VIVO
- Ability to edit grant info
- Ability to suppress info from profile (e.g. publications)
- Arbitrary sort of publications
- Show expertise from standard words
- Post pdfs of publications
- Ability to search
- All VIVOs
- Multiple sites (e.g. CTSA members, multiple campuses with separate VIVOs)
IT Staff use cases
- Integrate with SAML identity providers
- Logging system to track changes
- Exception reports
- Nightly change report
- Updates in system sources not yet reflected in profiles
- Suppress log in during maintenance
Administrator use cases
- Data Stewards
- Report builder for research administrators
- identify where research is being done in an institution
