DSpace Development Update

• Update on the current status of DSpace 7 development (7.2; 7.3 and longer release cycle)
  • 7.2 released Feb 7
  • 7.3 development has started (new 4 month release cycle, due in June)
    • Around 12 new features anticipated from Tier 1 and Tier 2. See everything with the icon listed at DSpace Release 7.0 Status#Whatfeaturesarecominginalater7.xrelease?7.x

• Financial quarterly report
  • Report (through 12/31/21) sent via listserv 
    
    • Reports reflect performance in comparison to financial plan at given points in the year
    • Overall retained net assets: $ 16,396
    • Variances include
      • Positive to budget: membership dues, service fees (SCOSS), contract labor (development), travel, IDC
      • Negative to budget: fundraising
      • Does not reflect all of 7.1 or any of 7.2 “contract labor” invoicing
    • Not yet using LYRASIS line of credit for 7.x development
    • Happy to do detailed overview of financial reports separately for new leadership members
