Given the French context, UQAM joins VIVO's i18n internationalization initiative by making a contribution to French-Canadian internationalization, which is divided into three objectives.

Initiative objectives
- Using VIVO in a French or English linguistic context of the user's choice.
- Inspired by the work already done for German, translate into French-Canadian all the different files: ontologies, properties and ftl documents necessary for the presentation of the forms and data.
- Perform the necessary modifications to the Java code in order to provide users with the interfaces of francized editions that take into account the linguistic context chosen by the user when editing the data.
