If you have some time to spare to prepare for this meeting, it would be great if you could briefly list the most important end user administrative use cases for you or your institution, especially if they fall in the category unsupported.

  1. Sign up for an account on this wiki and log in.
  2. Put your use cases in the comment section of this page.
  3. Join either the main call or satellite call and tell us about your use cases

Examples

  • Accessing a video stored as a bitstream in DSpace, on a mobile phone (HTML5). It's important that the user doesn't need to wait until the whole video is loaded before starting playback.
    • Unsupported
    • Priority: nice to have
  • Creating a new item in DSpace should be as easy as a filling out a single, simple form/page, comparable to Youtube, Scribd or Slideshare.
    • Partially supported: The number of submission steps can be limited due to configuration, but you can't get it lower than ... without extensive customization
    • Priority: some attendees don't mind an extensive form (nice to have), while it was a huge deal for at least 2 call attendees.
  • DSpace should be easily accessible to the visually impaired (e.g. WCAG compliance)
    • Partially supported: There are few compliants on WCAG compliance but it's not perfect.
    • Priority: ...
