Goals for the Remodel
Context
http://vivoweb.org is the public-facing, Drupal-based, Duraspace hosted, web site for the VIVO project. It is currently (as of ) being remodeled and moved from Cornell hosting to Duraspace hosting.
Objectives

- Create a modern look. More like Twitter Bootstrap.
- Create a responsive/mobile-first site. VIVO must be perceived as current.
- Focus on adopters and the "Why VIVO?" message (marketing). Other sites have other roles:
- Github is for development – core development, ontology development, apps and tools development
- This wiki is for community participation – contributed effort through task forces, project governance, and reference materials
Context

- Create an inventory of VIVO assets
- For each asset recommend the future role of the asset

- For each asset, a recommendation regarding future role of the asset.

- Maintenance procedures for keeping content up to date
- Recommendation for evaluation of the web site and on-going modification of design and content as needed

The work will be coordinated through the Duraspace "webpod" team. VIVO community members will write content and assist with graphics and video as needed.

Distribute proposed charter and solicit participation from community via appropriate mailing list

- The launch of the site will be a PR event engaging all VIVO communication channels
