VIVO - ElasticSearch integration

The progress about implementation of this feature can be found at https://github.com/vivo-project/Vitro/pull/469. At the moment, Solr can be replaced by ElasticSearch 7 or ElasticSearch 8. However, Ivan will try to make it also working with OpenSearch (which requires https and basic authentication). Dragan asked Victor if he had organized any internal meetings regarding this. Victor confirmed he would speak with Washington about it. Dragan decided to keep this issue on the agenda for the next couple of weeks, after the publication of version 1.15, to allow community interest and for potential discussions.

VIVO 1.15.0

Dragan introduced a minor release with new features, which had been tested by five people. Testers reported a couple of issues, some of them were related to unclear documentation of new features. The results of testing will be discussed within committers group and a decision about publishing the 1.15.0 minor release will be made after that.

Summer mode

Dragan proposed a plan to restructure the meeting schedule during the summer period. From 9th July to 20th August, there will be only two meetings instead of the usual four or five. After this period, the weekly schedule will resume. Dragan encouraged feedback and discussions about potential changes to this model. Here is a proposal for summer meetings - 2nd, 9th, 23rd of July, 6th, 20th, 27th of August.

The VIVO demo website

Dragan discussed the potential creation of a demo website for Vivo, which might be hosted by Lyrasis instead of hosting the OpenVivo site. The team had previously debated whether to migrate Open Vivo data or generate new data. A nice suggestion from Brian was to have both a demo and test instance to ensure stability and synchronization with minor releases. Bridget noted the need to follow up with the hosting team regarding this matter. Dragan confirmed that a demo instance would be sufficient if a test instance wasn't possible at this point.
