VIVO Logo

As you can see, we have a new logo – clean, simple, modern and in continuity with the logo we have been using. The Marketing and Branding team is working on a national marketing plan, a set of identity guidelines (including the logo), and new contact management capabilities based on Constant Contact www.constantcontact.com. The team will develop and provide letterhead, PowerPoint templates and web site graphics for consistent look and feel across the project. When these items appear, please use them as provided. It is very important that we do not alter the logo in any way. See https://confluence.cornell.edu/display/ennsrd/Marketing+and+Branding

Technical Advisory Board

The Technical Advisory Board (TAB) is up and running. Chaired by Dean Krafft, the TAB will offer advice to the VIVO team on all matters related to the semantic web, linked open data and the ontology. The TAB is an internationally recognized group of experts and we expect them to serve a critical role in improving the VIVO technology. Release 1.0 is coming!

Much effort is going into the completion of Release 1.0, due the first week of April. The release will contain linked open data features, as well as an improved and documented ontology. These improvements are critical steps in our ability to engage partners, open participation and demonstrate concepts regarding the national network of scientists.
