VIVO MVP - Hostable VIVO

Milos opened a pair of PRs for the first group of VIVO improvements to make it aligned with WCAG.

Ivan presented a proposal for configuring VIVO harvester tools, suggesting a common directory for shared XML configurations to avoid copying parameters across different processes. 

The team discussed the management of XSLT files across different pipelines for ingesting data. Ivan explained that while XSLT parsing should be different for each source, common XSLT files can be shared in a common directory, and specific files can be copied and edited in the pipeline directory as needed. Dragan raised a question about the possibility of defining a cascade application of transformations, particularly for Dublin Core and ePrints formats, where vocabulary changes are more common than structural changes.

Dragan and Georgy also discussed consolidating search page documentation, with Georgy agreeing to review and potentially clean up existing documentation.

VIVO ORCID

The team discussed issues with confirmed ORCID ID persistence and retrieval in VIVO. Ivan explained his persistence logic and data model, while Georgy confirmed that the ORCID functionality works in the TIB instance. They identified potential customizations and historical changes that may affect the ORCID feature, with Georgy agreeing to investigate further.

Branding VIVO

Milos presented his work on dynamic theme configuration and CSS variables. Georgy suggested storing JSON content as a single property in the graph rather than multiple properties, which Milos agreed was a better approach. Milos will push his commits as soon as it is ready for review. Georgy will review the PR.
