VIVO MVP - Hostable VIVO

Dragan discussed the completion of the VIVO MVP project board, which includes tickets for exporting to CSV, product BI examples, out-of-the-box reporting, and a design of the deduplication/disambiguation engine. He emphasized the importance of documenting work in tickets for transparency in the open-source community. Jose Ortiz is working on a crosswalk between VIVO and OpenAIRE guidelines for research managers, which Dragan suggested sharing with the VIVO Ontology WG and EuroCRIS CERIF WG for validation. 

VIVO ORCID

Ivan and Milos presented a plan for integrating ORCID member API with VIVO, focusing on secure token storage, automated synchronization, and system architecture. They proposed using encryption for token storage and suggested an external library for scheduling tasks. The team plans to continue discussions on implementation details in the following weeks.

The team discussed the workflow for pushing publications from VIVO to ORCID, including the handling of changes and the detection of updates. Brian explained that change listeners on the RDF service can detect modifications, while Ivan suggested optimizing by using PUT requests for changed publications. Ivan confirmed receiving the Sandbox API for testing and development purposes, noting that switching to the main ORCID platform would require membership licence and payment.

Dragan mentioned that preparation for the next release candidate was delayed due to Georgy's absence, but they planned to continue once Georgy returned.
