Notes
- PRs and issues
- "Adding maintainer relation" - https://github.com/vivo-ontologies/vivo-ontology/pull/46
- There may be a more general pattern to articulate here that avoids continued use of vivo:relates with roles.
- Brian will draft a proposal for discussion at 19.03.2025 meeting (guests are scheduled for 05.03). Ideally this will include ideas for deprecating existing Relationships in favor of Roles.

- CERIF mapping
- CERIF 2.0 is nearing completion: conceptually similar to 1.8 but is a significant redesign.
- CERIF 2.0 will include an ontology; currently being edited in Markdown and generated by a custom Markdown-to-OWL conversion tool.
- Dragan may be able to address conversion of the CERIF-to-VIVO mapping to CERIF 2.0 after we finish current 1.8-based effort.
- Use WebVOWL to present work on alignment and get feedback from community?
- Continuing with CERIF 1.8 support is the best approach for now. OpenAIRE supports a profile of CERIF 1.8 and is unlikely to jump on 2.0 very quickly.
- Having a working VIVO to CERIF 1.8 translation would allow VIVO to feed OpenAIRE; see OpenAIRE Guidelines for CRIS Managers.
