Notes

Readme file, contribution, join the community

Dragan aligned Pull request template with suggestions from the last meeting.

Preparation of the CONTRIBUTING.md file is ongoing.

VIVO 1.14.1

The team doesn’t have some strong opinion about whether relocation of log4j should be addressed by changing artifact id in the pom.xml file. The only important thing is not to spend too much time on this, and the main branch should be aligned with VIVO 1.14.1 (it should be firstly merged into the main branch, and then publishing of VIVO 1.14.1 might start)

VIVO video tutorials

Dragan and Welling, discussed the idea of creating video tutorials for the Vivo platform, focusing on installation and basic features. They agreed on the need for concise videos, under 5 minutes each, from both user and implementer perspectives. Dragan suggested these videos would be useful for potential adopters, researchers, and administrators of the Vivo platform.

VIVO 1.15.0

The team discussed improvements in theming and styles. Georgy would like to see some improvements in responsive wilma theme PR which has been already merged. A rule violation in the review process was identified, and the team decided to revert the code and reevaluate it in a new pull request. They also agreed to implement settings to prevent similar issues, such as enforcing a rule that a pull request can only be merged with at least two reviews. The team discusses some potential technical issues with reverting commits.
