Dependencies

Team discussed the update of dependencies is not so easy to resolve and there is some risk of introducing issues in some functional features. The conversation concluded without a clear resolution on how to proceed. This might be postponed for VIVO 1.16.0.                        

GitLab self-managed instance

We don’t have a self-managed GitLab instance, but we can use gitlab.com for making mirrors of the GitHub resources. The tech lead should do this at least once per month. 

PRs

Dragan discussed the pressure to complete tasks before the year ends and the proposal to publish release candidates. 

M1 mac chip and VIVO

Works for Milos Popovic and  Kshitij Sinha. There was uncertainty about whether to close a related issue as the update seemed to resolve some problems, but not all (there is still one report it is not working on the Mac machine). The team agreed to merge the request and keep the issue open for further discussion at least for a couple of months.

Captcha

Georgy will try to find time to review this as soon as possible.

Ivan will align this PR with improvements of Captcha once it is merged. 

Avoid lock on graph uri update in RdfServiceSparql

Brian should review this PR. The code review is enough. 

ABAC

Remove trash icon for some specific data types (https://github.com/vivo-project/VIVO/issues/3914). Georgy confirmed this should be resolved with a new approach for role management. However, it should be well documented in wiki pages for technical documentation. 

Wilma theme

Make nemo and tenderfoot themes deprecated (https://github.com/vivo-project/VIVO/issues/3926). We will try to resolve this at the level of wiki documentation for VIVO 1.15.0.

Dragan proposed starting the process of publishing release candidates as soon as merged previously listed PR. The team also discussed some open tickets listed at https://github.com/vivo-project/VIVO/milestone/30. Georgy will close some of the tickets which have been already resolved.
