DRAGAN: We merged Extended Search PR, what should be also done is to update documentation. If Georgy has time he can start with updating the documentation page, I can also help there. We should also document the extended search ontology and provide some examples to describe its expressiveness. 

We also merged log4J PR, which should mitigate the potential vulnerability exploits.

  • M1 mac issue

DRAGAN: There was one suggestion from Georgy for resolving this issue (argon library update), as well as one configuration of a docker image that can be useful here. 

MILOS: I tried to update the argon library, and build process doesn’t fail anymore. However, I can’t start VIVO using tomcat. 

Milos shared the error log and we concluded there is still some architecture problem.

GEORGY: Did you build the Argon library? It is a C library, and Argon JVM uses that library.

MILOS: No, I just changed the Maven Argon version.

GEORGY: You should build it with make or compile it yourself using documentation manual, and then report what happens.

  • VIVO and Solr versions

DRAGAN: We need to align our efforts because there are multiple different vivo-solr branches for configuration of different versions of Solr to work with VIVO (https://github.com/vivo-project/vivo-solr/tree/upgrade, https://github.com/vivo-project/vivo-solr/tree/solr-8.11). We need to check backward compatibility and provide user instructions on which vivo-solr version/branch can be used with which VIVO and Solr versions pair. 

  • VIVO and Fuseki

DRAGAN: There was one Slack question related to this and we will try to find solution as soon as possible

  • Responsive wilma theme

DRAGAN: The extended search was merged so it is now aligned with this. Milos can start working to make this functionality’s frontend responsive.

  • I forgot my password

DRAGAN: I think that we need a second reviewer. I already reviewed it and requested some changes which Ivan implemented but we need another pair of eyes in order for it to be production ready. Ivan added a feature toggle for this functionality. By default it is enabled but it is open for discussion. I think that it should be enabled by default because it is a new functionality. We should also improve docs on this functionality, just a brief explanation on how it works.

  • Time difference

DRAGAN: We are again in 6 hours difference in time zones, so until March, the meeting will be at 4 pm Central European Time or 10 am Eastern Standard Time.

  • Zoom AI summary

DRAGAN: We will see now it works in the next couple of meetings, parallel with manual note taking. If it performs similarly or better we will switch to AI.
