Notes

  • ORCID global funding program

There should be only one application per call from one institution.  In the November 2023 call, Lyrasis will apply for a grant for ORCID and DSpace integration.  The next call should be open in April 2024, the plan is to apply for a small grant for implementation of features needed for certification of VIVO to be an ORCID Service provider - https://info.orcid.org/vendors-and-service-providers/orcid-certified-service-providers-list/

  •  M1 mac chip and VIVO

A GitHub issue has been created  - https://github.com/vivo-project/VIVO/issues/3915. The ticket will be used for discussion and further profiling of the problem. Benjamin Gross has already posted a comment about errors he is getting at his mac machine.

  • Log4j vulnerability

Dragan created PR https://github.com/vivo-project/Vitro/pull/422

The issue is quite trivial, only one review is needed.

Georgy created a PR for resolving https://github.com/vivo-project/VIVO/issues/3911. It is a small PR which is well covered with a unit test, therefore one review will be enough.

Georgy reported his progress on ABAC PR - https://github.com/vivo-project/VIVO/pull/3887. It is an extremely large PR, therefore we discussed strategy for merging this PR. It is important to ensure there is no additional performance issue introduced by this PR. Therefore,  Georgy will run a demo instance where we can test that. Dragan will ask Ivan and Milos to help in the testing and reviewing code.

Dragan asked whether https://github.com/vivo-project/VIVO/pull/3909 is ready to be merged. Georgy explained that bootstrap.min.js should be returned back due to extended search PR, and reminded us that extended search PR should be merged before we mark tenderfoot and nemo as deprecated themes.  Brian also added it would be great if tenderfoot VIVO users get the message in the UI they are using a deprecated theme.

Dragan started discussion about https://github.com/vivo-project/Vitro/pull/421. Brian suggested introducing a web page inside VIVO context for the requesting restarting password.
