Rationale
The Profiles Affinity Group provides a forum for the development of Sinopia profiles, both shared and institution-based. It builds on the work carried out by the Profiles Working Group (November 2020 - June 2019). Members have developed training and some basic best practices in creating profiles, discussed and documented issues and limitations of the profiles and Sinopia itself, and spent a lot of time developing a shared set of profiles for cohort use.
Group discussions cover issues related to Sinopia base profiles management, institutional profiles development for Sinopia, and general profiles best practices and workflows on a collaborative cataloging environment.
The LD4 Profiles Affinity Group coordinates with format-based LD4 Affinity Groups (Serials, Rare Materias, etc..), the Sinopia developing team and the Program of Collaborative Cataloging (PCC) specific Task Groups as needed.
