Pop Up Topics

  • Dan created a google doc with general "profiles" for Fedora users to try and establish some load tests for to answer questions within community about performance at scale.
    • Exists for F4, F5 and maybe some against F6 API - Performance & scalability testing (https://wiki.lyrasis.org/display/FF/Performance+and+Scalability)
      • Trying to build out or define these profiles so that we can load test against to provide data to users on functionality
      • Open to comment or suggestions on the profiles


Migration Updates

  • No disasters at Villanova
    • Only checking master binaries currently - several 100,000 things 
    • Using the fcr fixity endpoint to do this right now
    • Maintains a SOLR index of entire list of items in the repo
    • Will try using the simple search to pull list of objects at some point when he has time
    • Still working on improvements and fine tuning
    • Did a full fixity check of all items in his repo successfully (fits within the one month time frame)

    • Jared doesn’t have the access he needs to merge this PR because it makes changes
