Notes

Status Updates

  1. Steve working on migration tests
    1. ~11K Objects failing to rebuild due to errors (missing datastreams) on the legacy Fedora installation
    2. Migration errors due to unresolvable internal IDs
    3. Migrator resume
      1. Either doesn't provide any feedback or too much info with the DEBUG switch
  2. Metadata
    1. GDMS has been migrated
    2. TEI files still being used
    3. MRSID files legacy preservation files
      1. Lizardtech used for GIS work. Similar to JPG2000
    4. Steve is the only current staff member who was around at the time this repository was in use
      1. However, users are still around and accessing some of this content

Goals for November

  1. Which objects in the Fedora 3 repository are still be accessed?
    1. Mike will assign someone to crawl the logs to determine which things are being referenced externally
      1. This will at least tell us which systems are accessing the content
    2. Should we also check the index?
  2. Mike to get a list of content models and associated DSIDs
  3. Steve will continue working on the sample migration to isolate errors with the legacy Fedora from errors with the migration tool
