Table of Contents
The Fedora committers will hold our fourth annual face-to-face meeting in Edinburgh, Scotland, on July 9th – the day before Open Repositories 2012. At this meeting, technical contributors and committers will discuss the future of the core Fedora Repository software and improvements to our community-driven development process.

9:20 - 10:20: Fedora Architecture Principles, Part I
- Focus: Content Storage, Disseminations, REST, and SOAP
(10 min break)
10:30 - 11:30: Fedora Architecture Principles, Part II
- Focus: Content Modeling, Semantic Web, and Linked Data
11:30 - 12:30: Improving Development Process & Pace
- Models for getting significant work done
- Improving engagement for existing and new contributors
(1 hour for lunch, provided)
1:30-2:00: Discussion of Roadmap Process (w/Jonathan Markow)
- Stakeholder involvement
- Managed projects
2:00-4:00: Roadmap Priorities
- Our best guess. We'll bring this list to stakeholders to get input on their priorities.
- Two approaches: Focus on one major theme & get into detail (Perf & Scalability), or cast a wide net with less detail per item.
- Start with a brainstorm, narrow down to < 10.
- For each, assign priority (high, medium, low) and effort (hard, medium, easy) and articulate the value to stakeholders.
4:00ish: End Meeting & Depart for the Pear Tree House Pub for Food/Drink
- The Pear Tree House is in walking distance from the conference site, and has plenty of seating and a large beer garden.
- Even if you were not able to attend all of the meeting, you are still more than welcome to join everyone at the pub for food, drinks or just interesting discussion!
