The SACO program relies heavily on project work developed by our funnels and institutional members. This projects hub serves as a collecting point to show the variety of projects currently underway, their scope, and their phase of development. Though use of the projects hub is not required, we strongly encourage funnels and institutions to use this space for information tracking and sharing.

What defines a project?

For our purposes, a project is quickly defined as a scope of work that involves the creation of 20 or more new headings; revisions to 20 or more existing headings; or a combination of the two. If you think you might have a project, please email saco@loc.gov for more guidance.

How can I plan and propose a project?

Procedures for planning and proposing new projects are forthcoming!

Instructions for using this hub

Please use the table below to record current projects. You can also use this table to propose a new project and find support from other funnels and institution members.

You can add rows to the table by clicking your cursor into the last row and then clicking the insert row below button (or using the keyboard shortcut Alt + Down arrow).

Please fill in the table with the following information:

  • Project name: Provide the name of your project.
  • Brief description: In a few sentences, describe what you would like to achieve with your project.
  • Funnel/Institution: Provide your funnel or institution name.
  • Contact point: Provide your name and email address.
  • Related documents: Do you have a position paper or other documents you'd like to share? Link them here.
  • Phase: Please choose the phase that best describes your project from the options below:
    • Proposed. You would like to start the project, but you're looking for additional support.
    • In development. Your group is in the process of planning their work and preparing a Project Proposal for PTCP.
    • On hold. Your group has had their Project Proposal approved, but you are waiting for the project to be scheduled by PTCP.
    • Active. Your project has been approved and scheduled by PTCP and you are proceeding with revisions and implementation.
  • PTCP liaison: Your PTCP liaison will be assigned during the project development stage.

If you would like to work on any of the projects listed here, please email the contact point.

As projects are completed, they will be moved to a new table (to be created).
