Description: Library Admin navigates to admin panel and resets a patrons Adobe account ID

Actor: Library Administrator

Preconditions: 

  • A library has properly deployed a Circulation Manager, complied with terms of service and properly configured the service
  • User has Library Admin privileges
  • Librarian knows patron's ID and has notified patron of the consequences of the account reset

Postconditions: Patron's Adobe account ID is reset

Displays 'Manage Patrons' page with the following features:

  • Description: Enter patron ID to search for a patron
  • Form field where admin enters a value

  • Description: "This field allows you to assign a new Adobe account ID for an individual patron. This is necessary for patrons who have reached their device installation limit. Please be sure to inform patrons that they will lose any existing loans or reserves when the new account is created."
  • Field to enter patron ID
  • 'Enter' button (inactive state)

  • Patron ID
  • Name of patron (show if data is available)
  • Warning text: You are about to reset the Adobe account ID for this patron. Please make sure the patron is aware that they will no longer have access to loans or reserves in their old account.

  • 'Proceed' button

  • Dialogue window closes
  • No other changes take place

Note: same behavior if user closes dialogue box by clicking the upper right 'x'

  • Dialogue window displays new content:
    • Success! the patron has been assigned a new Adobe account ID.
    • Patron ID no longer appears in the form field on the main screen (I thought it made sense to wipe the field once a new account was created, do you agree or is it not necessary?)
