Looked at the updated language in the Fedora renewal letter - Este updated that David plans to send it out next week. People will add any remaining suggestions if they have them.

Este shared a conversation she's has with Erin Tripp about highlighting the value of digital repositories/open access as a result of the shift to remote learning. Erin tweeted about it, and is gathering information for a post via LYRASIS and possible other venues in the library field. Este posed the question of how we might leverage our networks to suggest others to talk to, and to identify other opportunities.

We talked about how it would be good to articulate the value of community and the collective right now, and the power our networks have such at Fedora.

We discussed the possibility of capturing a list of people who are using Fedora to power key digital collections that are of value for research and learning during the pandemic in a more pronounced way: could we have a list of use cases from students and faculty and researchers who use these materials powered by Fedora? A list of resources would be a way to offer something to the larger library community right now, and would also highlight the significance of the Fedora system in maintenance of these resources. Something that highlights all the primary sources made available through Fedora.

Dustin shared that he can identify pre- and post-pandemic usage statistics on their digital collections, which could be a powerful story.

Chris suggested it would useful to create an infographic that details the scale of Fedora's reach and presence in digital collections around the globe.

Maurice plans to pull together a list for Erin of other possible people to talk to, who can communicate the value of Fedora but also LYRASIS writ large.

Robin stressed the importance of presentations, and reminded of the upcoming session at CNI, which will be available freely online, about the LYRASIS and Duraspace merge, happening 4/29 at 2 pm. She and others will be part of a panel.

Robin and Chris suggested we recommend a one pager about Fedora, and possibly specific to Fedora 6, that could be made available on the website, similar to what Samvera has created, in the absence of in-person tables to talk about Fedora.
