Welcome – All

       2. Consent Agenda (Please read before meeting.)    ( 1 minutes)

            a. Lyrasis Reports

Dragan:

  • VIVO 1.15 has been released https://wiki.lyrasis.org/display/VIVO/VIVO+1.15.0+Release+Announcement
  • The University of Novi Sad got a small grant from FAIR-impact project with the goal to align description of a Software in VIVO with codemeta schema.
  • The application for ORCID grant has been rejected (integration of VIVO with ORCID). (Also see #2, below).

Bridget:

Website and vivoweb.org: Currently vivoweb.org redirects to vivo.lyrasis.org. This seems like it may be an artifact of the merger between Duraspace and Lyrasis. We will be making a change to have the website answer directly at vivoweb.org (with vivo.lyrasis.org redirecting there – i.e the inverse of the way it is now).  Barring objections from the Leadership Group, we will proceed with this plan.

3. VIVO LG Member Updates

5. Tactical Sub-Committee – Schedule/Start Mic                 (3) minutes)

6. VIVO Panel Session – Volunteers? Bryan                         (3 minutes)

7. Help with Elections – Lyrasis Mic / Bryan                       (5 minutes)

8. Last week’s Open Alex meeting Bridget                         (5 minutes)

9. Pay / Retain Slack historical data Bridget                        (5 minutes)

10.  Decommissioning OpenVIVO Bridget                          (5 minutes)

The technical team has expressed a desire to retire the OpenVivo site and replace it with a demo site to be accessible at demo.vivoweb.org, kept up to date with the latest release, and be loaded with sample data and demo user accounts . OpenVivo runs on an AWS instance hosted by Lyrasis, but it’s quite out of date (running a fork of VIVO based on release 1.9.x), nobody maintains it, and the ORCID login link is broken.  The tech lead (Dragan) and Bridget are working through with the Lyrasis hosting team the details of what the requirements are to switch to the demo setup (and possible a parallel sandbox site with the latest development build). The goal is to get the demo site up early in the fall. Barring objections from the Leadership Group, we will proceed with this plan.   The Strategy Subcommittee may want to revisit if and how the original concept of OpenVIVO fits into the VIVO strategic roadmap.

11.  VIVO survey – Help from Lyrasis Bridget/Bryan          (5 minutes)

12.   Closing comments – thoughts? (2 minutes)
