Paul Albert: people who understand both organizations should think about how to cross-pollinate:
Erin: we need to think more in terms of training and workshops as part of new initiatives as well as new development.
Robert Cartolano: Erin and Robert have put a lot of work into this merger. The Board has been very involved. Remember that more R&D funding presents more opportunities for VIVO.
Mike Conlon: I am very excited about economies of scale, and I am excited about the new CRM system and practices.
Tom Cramer: How did the ORCiD US Community come in? Erin: You might want to follow up with Celeste Feather, Senior Director of Licensing and Strategic Partnerships. Chat question: there are 28 engineers across LYR? that’s more than I would have guessed and indicates a lot more may be happening at LYR than we are aware. I would appreciate some map or intro of LYR projects, staff and services, just for orientation.

Christian Hauschke: Is there a culture of service providers at LYRASIS? Do you have experience with transatlantic grant proposals? Robert: this is an area of interest for me.

Julia Trimmer: What is the transition timeframe?
Terrie Wheeler: I see a lot of opportunities with LYRASIS. I think we need a smaller/easier VIVO for small libraries.

Erin: Christian, there are other ORCiD consortiums. For example, I know there is one is Australia and Canada and in other jurisdictions
Christian: Yes, I wondered because the TIB (my institution) leads the German ORCID consortium.
Erin: LYRASIS is the home of the US Consortium and they have a coordinator on staff at LYRASIS names Sheila Rabun. She’s awesome.
Andrew: Do the various national ORCiD consortia collaborate?
Erin: I think they do. The Orcid annual meeting invites consortia leads to attend and collaborate. I think Michele attended last year. He and Sheila would know more.
