Web Admin Pre-3.2 Release UI Preview

The new web-based Fedora Administrator client is a flash/flex based utility which runs in a web browser and uses the Fedora REST-API to perform administrative functions on a deployed Fedora repository.

Logging in to the web admin. After you connect to a repository the browser will prompt for authentication credentials (username/password).

After connecting to a repository. The menu on the left allows you to open an object via PID, create an empty object, or import an object using any of the supported format types.

Opening an object adds a tab for that object. In that tab the object's properties and datasteams are listed. A datastream is selected for viewing by clicking on the row in the datastream table.

Selecting a datastream will pop up a dialog with information about the datastream.

Image content can be displayed directly in the datastream viewer by selecting the View Content button.

Text content, including XML, can be displayed, edited, and saved directly in the datastream viewer.

Content for Inline XML and Managed datastreams can be replaced using a local file or a URL.

A new datastream can be added by selecting the Add Datastream button. The options for providing datastream content changes based on the Control Group selected.

Selecting Search in the left-hand menu allows searching for a term. Fields can be selected to appear in the search results. A search opens a tab to display results. Selecting a row in the search results will open the object selected in a new tab.
