5 | 15 min | Service provider compensation for work done prior to signed contract | Service providers were working in good faith on some of the DSpace 7 Beta1 work before the contract was signed on February 1. The question has been raised as to whether DSpace should compensate for that work done in good faith prior to the contract. Some options for consideration: (1) Allow payment for any work that was scheduled for Beta1, regardless of when it was completed. (not including Entities) (2) Allow payment for any work that was scheduled for Beta1, starting from January 1 when the new release plan started (3) Only allow payment for any work starting when the contract began (Feb 1). Note: Atmire and 4Science representatives will be present at the beginning of discussion to answer questions but will step out of the meeting for discussion and voting on this issue. | Kristi |
