DSpace 1.6.2 Released!
Planning for OR10 Committer Meeting
- Working to finalize time & location this week (we have a space – just need to find out room #)
- Send Topics/Discussion points to Tim. Known Topics so far:

- DSpace RoadMap & Fedora integration brainstorming
- SWORD Project next step
Discussion Topics:
- DSpace Services Framework – It's been three weeks since our Special Topics Meeting. Are we any closer to making some recommendations on moving forward? Has everyone had a chance to review the current Services work in 1.6.x?
- Smaller License Headers in Code – See recent dspace-devel thread for more info
JIRA Catch-Up – starting with issue DS-528 (and getting as far as we can).
- Search for recent JIRA Issues

1.6.2 was released!
GSoC updates
- One month till midterm. Working to get a weekly or bi-weekly student meeting setup.
Discussion of DSpace Services Framework
- All agree that more concrete, hands-on work will be needed to get real feedback on framework
- Several mention they will make effort to use Services Framework where it makes sense in upcoming projects
- Need more clarification on how to use services – best practices, etc.
Discussion of DuraSpace proposal for smaller license headers in code
- General approval. Some concerns that it may need to be run by a lawyer to be 100% sure (although the Fedora license header, which is almost identical, has been run by lawyers at UVA).
- Richard Rodgers may run by lawyers at MIT, just in case
