JWPlayer is an in-browser multimedia player made by Longtail Video. Islandora uses it to create viewers for objects using the Audio Solution Pack - Ready for Review (KS) and Video Solution Pack, so that they can be streamed directly inside a user's browser instead of requiring them to download it to their own computers first.

The actual JWPlayer files can be downloaded from To download the JWPlayer files you need to create an account by clicking "GET JWPLAYER FREE" button on page http://www.longtailvideojwplayer.com/jw-player/download/download/. Once your free account is set up, log into your account to locate the download link on "Account Settings" page. 

The Islandora JWPlayer Drupal module required for Islandora integration can be found at the Release Notes and Downloads page.

1. Install, enable and set up the Libraries API. Check that page for more information on how to do this.
2. Download and extract the JWPlayer .zip archive from longtailvideo.com
3. Place the 'jwplayer' folder from the .zip archive into your Drupal site's 'libraries' folder created when the Libraries API was set up (e.g. sites/all/libraries)
4. Install and enable the Islandora JWPlayer Drupal module
