How do we reach faculty members who don't read their email? Find someone who is very innovate, who can demonstrate the success of the program, to work out a case studies. Also find the director of research, the chairs, the deans to make sure that VIVO is being discussed. What other ways to communicate with them? Remember that our systems needs to have other information that brings value to you.

Faculty also like speakers, especially on an important topic, something that interests them.

How do we measure success? What does success look like?

People don't know what they don't know -- they need to be educated so that they recognize that this is an area that they should be involved in and become expert in.

Basic metrics: achieve basic level and then go to the next level. EG, Track A might be 50% of faculty editing, then 75%, and 100%. Then Track B, how often do they use the system and how much time are they on the system? Track C: what types of activities to truly collaborate? Are they communicating with people? What advice do you have for us?

Darrell thinks we are doing so much good for global research community, and we have so much great information. But the world doesn't know about us. VIVO is the good guys. It's a matter of taking our message out and making it available to everyone.

Darrell suggested an arrangement with the VIVO project would provide help and suggestions to the community at large.
