Overview

The Basic Image module adds the ability to create Basic Image collections, which are capable of displaying GIF, PNG and JPG/JPEG files. Users can view a smaller version of the image on the object's View tab, or click the image to view it full-size. It also allows for creation of a thumbnail image datastream during the ingest processThis module is for adding support for entities (person, place, event, organization) to Islandora.

Configuration

Configure the image-tool kit to use ImageMagick rather than GD in Administration > Configuration > Media > Image Toolkit (admin/config/media/image-toolkit). If GD is selected, TN and JPG datastreams will not be generated.

The autocomplete for the MADS forms requires solr values. A standard installation should include the transformations inbasic-solr-config (example config from discoverygarden)

The link to the MADS transformation in foxmlToSolr.xslt must be uncommented. This will be either or depending on your installation.

The Solr field for searching entities and the entity collection are configurable at Administration » Islandora » Solution pack configuration » Entities (admin/islandora/solution_pack_config/entities).

Islandora Solr Metadata must be chosen as the default metadata display. This can be set at Administration » Islandora » Metadata Display (admin/islandora/metadata).Image Removed
