Collaborate with partners to pilot a program for offering in-depth training on copyright for cultural and scientific heritage institutions. Evaluate options to make a set of copyright classes a “track” of LYRASIS Learning. Working with LYRASIS Learning will lead to saving some overhead costs (e.g. related to communications and technology) and lead to other staffing efficiencies that will aid the financial viability and sustainability of the service. We feel we could run this pilot at LYRASIS without additional grant funds. However, we are open to granting support if needed.
This pilot project is intended to test logistics of coordinating across LYRASIS, the Virtual Copyright Education Center, and an advisory group. The project will also serve to build interest in further training. The pilot project will also include exploring further opportunities for collaboration and building up the Virtual Copyright Education Center, which will lead to business planning.
