The Linked Data Tactical Planning Meeting, held on November 6, 2024, focused on six key areas of discussion:
- PCC Policies and Best Practices
- PCC Training and Outreach
- Tools and Infrastructure (to Support Linked Data Creation, Management, Sharing, Reuse, etc.)
- Interoperability (MARC-to-LD, LD-to-MARC, LD-to-LD), Reconciliation and System Performance
- User Experience (UX) for GLAM Metadata Workers
- Change Management Support and Advocacy (for Library Workers and End Users)
Based on the meeting outcomes and as well as the PCC Strategic Directions, PCC will prioritize the following focus areas:
- Training and capacity-improving for catalogers and metadata professionals.
- Ongoing communication and collaboration with libraries, vendors, and linked data communities.
- Developing workflows and tools that bridge gaps in linked data implementation.
- Ensuring the openness and flexibility of library metadata in a linked data environment.
