Summary

The task of assessing the performance characteristics as defined in the performance testing plan is incomplete. The plan has defined the classes of operations and scenarios needing testing. We have started building the test infrastructure using the testing tool, Grinder. Additionally, initial tests for simple ingest have been designed, executed, and documented (on a standalone system, not in the automated test infrastructure).

Based on the groundwork laid by the technical working group in defining the automated test framework, and the pattern for building tests:

We are now in a position to build out and execute a more complete suite of tests with the target of revealing performance weaknesses.
