Notes

  1. Thursday afternoon session looks like a good time to have a Fedora User Group meeting, overlaps with a COAR meeting.
  2. Lyrasis Member Summit occurring right now.
  3. Josh from AWS is working on a proof of concept of a Fedora on AWS. Working on a Fedora 4 to Fedora 6 migration. Most of the data is about 6 folders deep. Josh is tuning Fedora to try and break AWS on reindexing several thousands. Single server running 200 fcrepo indexing threads, but only 10-30 are using CPU at a time. Other threads are in a waiting state. Not sure why they are waiting. Mike mentioned that the Event Handler seemed slow and in an Archival Group it was sending actions.
  4. More testing on the RC.
  5. Demian wanted to address there is a newer version of ActiveMQ, what is the protocol for an upgrade of this type? Does ActiveMQ 6 need Java 17? It does. Should be considered for Fcrepo 7.
  6. Still testing the Solr credentials PR.
