Notes

  1. Announcements
    1. Last info-gathering session was well attended; next one is tomorrow (https://lyrasis.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZ0rfuqoqjkrH9acUH74lazu7MNXpAd8-6zi). Two more to come after that.
    2. Fedora open office hours are next week (9am next Wednesday); communication will go out soon.
  2. Pop-up/Other Topics
    1. Nothing new
  3. Migration Updates
    1. Demian plans to upgrade to Fedora 6.4 soon.
    2. No major developments at NLW due to holiday break.
    3. James has nothing new to report.
  4. Updates on:
    1. Open tickets
      1. OAI-PMH tickets (FCREPO-3884, FCREPO-3886, FCREPO-3887) – work is ongoing with REST interface, no major news; Dan's primary priority right now.
      2. Tombstone tickets (FCREPO-3883, FCREPO-3882, FCREPO-3881) – this will be taken to governance for discussion (Jared has provide a write-up for Arran to share). These changes will not impact compliance with the Fedora API, but we should investigate whether FCREPO-3883 introduces any breaking changes for existing users. This will be investigated more carefully after receiving feedback from governance. The other two tickets are less risky – FCREPO-3882 is an added feature rather than a change and FCREPO-3881 is more of a fix.
      3. FCREPO-3839 - Banner addition; changes approved by governance, so there's just a small amount of work remaining to be done by Dan before this can be closed out.
    2. In progress but older tickets
      1. FCREPO-3873 (support for disabled digest) - Mike is working on this, but no news.
      2. FCREPO-3871, FCREPO-3868, FCREPO-3840 - Dan has these, but no news this week.
    3. In review
      1. FCREPO-3880 - just merged
      2. FCREPO-3878 (migrate DC datastream as RDF properties) - in testing, recently reviewed by Mike; Dan will look again
      3. FCREPO-3876 (NPE when getting fcr:version on AG resource) - ready for review, but not reviewed yet; Mike will reach out to initiator of original ticket
      4. FCREPO-3874 (document ghost nodes) - Jared created a wiki page, needs feedback. Jared will add a link to the Confluence page from the JIRA ticket
      5. FCREPO-3839 - already discussed above
      6. FCREPO-3834 (Enable Camel toolbox to send xml records to Solr indexing service) - James is going to investigate this further; Dan thinks an issue may have been revealed here that he can work on after getting more results from James.
      7. FCREPO-3830 (Update root ACL to have transaction endpoint specific permissions) - on Jared's list to review
  5. New tickets
    1. None this week
  6. Backlog tickets
    1. Nothing to discuss this week
  7. Other
    1. Ben has received a report of a problem encountered by Oddělení informačních zdrojů a archeologie krajiny (vedoucí oddělení) when deleting a container with 40k children (returned 500 error after long wait, then had some knock-on effects). Dan thinks this would be a good case to add to our profiling tests. Please watch out for other reports/instances of this problem. Jared pointed out that the 500 error should have added details to the Fedora log; we should try to find that error so we can open a JIRA ticket with full details of the problem. Arran has been relaying messages and will encourage follow-up in Slack so that more direct troubleshooting/communication can take place.
