Minutes

  1. FCREPO-1710 - (Esmé CowlesSeries of performance tests: creating large number of children and reading them.  Short answer: the new node types look promising, but none of them are a miracle cure for the slow child problem we have been experiencing.  Working towards a configuration that we can recommend hopefully supporting millions of rows.

  2. FCREPO-1672 - (Unknown User (acoburn)) Jena upgrade will help us use more Java 8 Idioms, but there is some difficulty surrounding Jena's change of how they handle RDF string literals. Data type is now xsd:string, previously, there was a string literal that could contain no datatype, where the string data type was implied.  This causes breakage, where we've relied upon this functionality.  Could use another set of eyes on the ticket.
  3. FCREPO-1312 - (Unknown User (acoburn)) Big undertaking, bit of iteration.  PR 'Do not merge' is a work in progress related to this.  Working on rewriting how Stream works, we currently pass in classes to define what kind of triples we want back.  Currently these classes are defined in the modeshape layer creating a dependency on modeshape in anything that wants to use them.  Has created an enumeration of these classes, where the underlying technology will offer actual processing processing. PR on PR and comments most welcome.
  4. FCREPO-1852 - (Andy Wagner) Documentation just needs to be removed. Unknown User (acoburn) will review documentation.
  5. FCREPO-1519 - (Bethany Seeger) PR is outstanding, first round of review has been done, awaiting second round of review.  Unknown User (acoburn) will review.
  6. FCREPO-1806 - (Unknown User (acoburn)) Is still working on this.
  7. FCREPO-1797Unknown User (acoburn) was on a call with Andrew Woods where they discussed this, was going to look at JDBC as an alternative to LevelDB as there may be known corruption issues with LevelDB
  8. FCREPO-1762(Abandoned?) PR - One concern with transactional path logic; this is something that someone could pickup and take to completion.  One question though: how does this fit in with the new fcrepo-java-client?  Andy Wagner will fix outstanding issues.
  9. FCREPO-1742 - (Esmé Cowles) Did some work on creating a new property, and did some work on a specification for when this property should change. PR is from Esmé Cowles' viewpoint is almost ready to merge (rebase and minor work.) Wants to discuss with Andrew Woods before rebasing.
  10. FCREPO-1821 - Jared Whiklo may have run into a roadblock on this.
  11. FCREPO-1767 - Worked on during a sprint; don't know who if anyone is going to work on a sprint going forward. (No sprints scheduled for the rest of the year.) – Revisit in new year.
  12. FCREPO-1754 - Someone could easily pick this one up and move it forward.
  13. FCREPO-1812Unknown User (acoburn) believes this is what prompted the new stateless fcrepo-java-client, and believes this is moving forward on Michael Durbin's schedule.
  14. FCREPO-1799 - Consensus on what to do, not yet implemented–awaiting Jena 3 upgrade.
  15. FCREPO-1808A. Soroka was suggesting a construct from Jena 3, may be awaiting the Jena 3 upgrade. PR needs review and rebase.
  16. FCREPO-1823 - Low priority, slowly being chipped away at by Unknown User (acoburn). Illustrates divergent methodologies of one package with many classes versus many packages each with one class.  Did we want to discuss formalizing a standard methodology?  This ticket should be broken down module by module, rather than the codebase as a whole.
  17. FCREPO-1777James R. Griffin III was working on integration tests (PR) for vagrant.  Do we need to discuss integration testing strategies on a call, to push this one forward? Needs code review and documentation.
  18. FCREPO-1761Unknown User (daniel-dgi) has written code that does this ticket, but has not written tests.  Need to ping him to see if he is still interested in moving forward on this one.
  19. FCREPO-1583Ralf Claussnitzer has a whole bunch of PR's that need to be shepherded through. Travis tests are failing until parent PR is merged.  Unknown User (acoburn) will do this, and Nick Ruest has offered his assistance.
  20. FCREPO-1443 - This PR needs a code review.
