Testing Status
(NOTE: The up-to-date copy of this information is now on this page)
- What remains to be tested?
- What's been discovered?
- Alternate context path:
- Eddie installed two Fedoras. Set FEDORA_HOME to the alternate mapping. Automated test for ConfigA failed. Weird references 127.0.1.1. Will try to duplicate.
- Aaron discovered hardcoded paths.
- Kai pointed out it's necessary to specify a fedora.appServerContext.
- Aaron:
- 1a. Change to local.fedora.server, Chris.
- 1b. Workaround: Tell user to change it manually
- 1b. Specify LOCAL: / = current host:port no forward slash = current host:port/contextpath, review: existing demo objects to use LOCAL where possible
- Aaron can do this, will test tomorrow.
- Kai: Rebuild script contains hardcoded server context
- Make sure it's documented well
- Give a better error message
- Command-line utilities should take a fedoraBaseURL instead of separate args for protocol, host, port.
- RE: Context in general (Andrew with help from Kai)
- General sense: Try it out, give us feedback. Alternative context paths. Experimental/Beta feature of Fedora 3.2
- InstallerProperties, Update to the install wiki page.
- Need update to commandline utilities doc. Actually, link to separate wiki page for context. build.xml, below.
- Running Fedora with Alternative Webapp Context
- General description
- Caveat about commandline utilities, WEBAPP_NAME,
- Caveat about web.xml
- Andrew reported: Possible issue with testBatchModify (problem with test, or problem with running it?)
- Fedora-ingest-demos in client/bin: allowing it take webapp context, usage message in script isn't correct. (Kai will do this)
- Chris: To at least document: java 1.6 needed to run rebuilder mysql (or look into if time)
- Kai: Look into scripts to see what's not covered.
- Bill and Chris: Follow-up on ingest not working via new admin gui
- Regarding migration: Analyzer warning: Blurb in doc: If running Derby embedded (not recommended), if you see this message.
- Eddie TODO: Upgrade from Fedora 3.1. Swap db in place, but need to rebuild resource index.
- Journal RMI reciever. Try to make build.xml target for self-contained distribution we'll make available for download. Journal doc needs to acknowledge RMI reciever for recieving multicast journals (and where to get it?). (Aaron)
- Eddie will try with alternative webapp context
- Any showstoppers?
