Group:

  • Recap of last Friday's Special Topics Meeting
    • Chris will update FCREPO issue with followup discussion details (Andrew)
  • Review issues in Recieved state and updated since last meeting
    • RE: FCREPO-466:
      • Chris: want to use bash to reduce code duplication
      • Others: Not by default in FreeBSD, but can be installed.  Seems ok to do for 80/20 rule.
      • Andrew: #!/usr/bin/env bash (recommended by bash book)
      • Q: is env always in /usr/bin? (Need to check other distros)
  • Next week's special topics meeting? (Monday or Cancel) Cancelled

Aaron:

  • Looking to release Edupak ~1 week (working on docs, compatibility)

Andrew:

  • FCREPO-116 (Derby): Almost done, one of the last issues is the slight difference between embedded and networked driver.  Found while running tests.  Networked mode, things worked ok.  Embedded, hangs while getting a shared lock while doing a query on dobj to list pids.  Will meet w/Chris after FL to track down further.
  • Derby logs go to where Tomcat is started (so will note in issue tracker)

Bill:

Chris:

  • Mostly Duraspace last week (WebDAV)
  • Update on new Fedora Repository Project website
    • Bill: Similarity between two sites may be confusing.  Likes default Plone layout.
    • Andrew: Agrees; visual distinction should more pronounced
  • Proposal: Product-wide CONTRIBUTORS.txt instead of @author
    • Check w/Eddie

Eddie:

  • Update on SWORD: the server-side sword-app appears to be working, but still having problems getting the MS Word client to work correctly.
  • Update on FeSL: Mark is still getting the solicitation in order. Have been revising the SOW w/ Chi, a) so that we can show something at OR09 b) reduce costs

Kai:

  • Working on hardcoded /fedora path issue.  Initially thought was done 2 wks ago.  87 .  Also updating test suite to run with arbitrary baseURL.
  • Included param in fedora.fcfg: (servlet context not always available, as in TranslationUtility)
  • Bill: Would need to change it in two cases.  For that reason, setting for installer would be good.
  • Andrew: Note that we also need to have web.xml edited if FEDORA_HOME changes.
  • Kai: Will consider implications of putting this in web.xml as well
  • Another issue:
    • Each client script needs to be edited to specify the context path (/fedora)
    • Chris will send more info on FCREPO-466 so we don't conflict here
