      • Refined data for demo
      • Worked with Jonathan for practice
      • Completed but not pushed "name" bugfix ( Unable to locate Jira server for this macro. It may be due to Application Link configuration. )
      • Enabled a PDF as SWF viewer
    • Updated JIRA to date (code in freeze except bug fix)
    • Succeeded at Box.com directory integration
    • Completed but did not push adding a log message for ingest (the old one won't work

    • Conversations with Thorny

Minutes

  • Funding has ended as of the end of 2012
  • Demo for Michele and advisory group is complete
  • Demo for Josh Greenburg at the end of the month
  • Conversation with Josh will likely help us to know what our direction will be
    • If Josh would like us to continue, we will likely look for partners
    • If not, we will likely "put things in moth balls"
  • Question: What to do through this month
    • No new development
    • Might finish up some bits for the demo
    • Demo as it is now is likely good enough
    • Still need to complete documentation
  • Thorny would like to provide some funding for Dan to work on an integration of DfR (OCS) and Taverna
  • Demo status
    • There are a few small bugs to fix
    • There are some small data improvements that would smooth out the demo
      • Would like to show an automated conversion from PDF to SWF format (for display)
      • Would like to be able to display tabular data
      • Would like to experiment with the exhibition feature
    • Other potential updates
      • Metadata extraction would be useful, could populate more of the fields in the metadata forms
      • LIDO form is likely the best place to store this data
      • This is likely a few days of work, and is pretty easy to split out and stop as necessary
  • One issue that showed up in the demo: the upsync didn't appear to finish
    • One thing to look out for: make sure mouse doesn't stay over the section that should be updating, as updating is paused on mouse hover
  • Advisory demo
    • Clearly pointed out that we should be working with institutions that can make researchers available, but no recommendations about which institutions those might be
  • Note: trying to deploy in the same container as Fedora, there were conflicts between JMS brokers. Will just deploy on independent instances.
  • Jonathan to prepare for final demo the end of next week
  • Need to determine which items (code, documentation) are necessary to have available for Josh at the demo

Items to complete by the end of next week

  • Finish up code bug fixes - Dan
  • Pull out any additional metadata field values - Dan
  • Prepare for final demo - Jonathan, with assistance from Dan

Items to complete before the official end of the DfR funded project

  • Finish up the documentation - Jonathan/Dan
  • Make sure all Jiras are updated and closed - Danny/Bill/Dan
  • Get copyright notice header on all code files - Danny/Dan
  • Cut final code release, publish the code - Dan/Bill
