  • Directory creation is nearly done. Remaining:
    
    • A good clean up
    • Better code to prevent attempts to create directories twice
    • Error and exception handling (atomic operations)
    • Choose/make a good content model in Sidora for directories
    • Improve tests
    • Fix Bamboo build configuration
  • Execution environment is integrated

Minutes

Directory object creation is working

• Using camel, comes in via camel endpoint (via JMS message listener), and passes to camel splitter
• Makes use of a StorageObjectEvent class
• Still some cleanup, exception handling, and testing to finish up prior to commit
• This path takes the content ID provided by DuraCloud, parses it, and creates the fedora objects to represent the entire tree
• These are not showing up in the SiDora tree, just need to specify a content model that SiDora understands
  
  • This was working before, but is not now. May wait for the latest SiDora before trying to get this working

SiDora update

• Jonathan: trying to put some pressure on DGI to get this done
• Set of emails has gone out that includes everyone in DuraSpace, DGI, and Smithsonian
• Current plan:
  
  • Smithsonian to hand DGI a VMWare image
  • DGI to strip out all unnecessary Smithsonian data, and hand it to us
• It's still not clear:
  
  • How long this will take
  • What the current status is of this work
  • What we'll actually get at the end
• Dan: The core code is in pretty good shape, it's all of the configuration and other bits that is not being managed well
