Description

This section contains a summary of development planning meeting and discussions. We are trying to assemble development priorities for the remainder for the first quarter of for 2009 in detail and general plans for the remainder of 2009. This information will feed into a revision of the Fedora Commons Technology Roadmap and the JIRA development tracker. These plans are developed in concert with the individual developers forums. Everyone is invited to contribute with comments, suggestions, information, or anything which helps server the community.

Our inspiration should be anything that helps inform our work including (but not limited to):

  • large trends
  • opportunities disruptive technology
  • innovation challenges
  • conferences
  • articles
  • meetings with our users and colleagues
  • the growing collaboration with DSpace
  • other community efforts
  • our own creativity.

We need to plan work items including (please see the Themes and Priorities section of the roadmap):

  • experiments
  • new technologies
  • improve our ease of use
  • improve our current core implementation
