  1. Hello!

I have no idea, whether I am posting this to the right place, but I hope this section is suitable for technical questions.

I am new to FEDORA and would like to know how does FEDORA handle physical storage of the objects. I have searched this web site an have found almost nothing.

From the Java Docs I was able to find out, that there is an interface ILowLevelStorage on the server side. However, its API allows only the retrieval of the object itself but has no information of where the object itself is stored or whatsoever. Is this correct?

So generally, I am interested in the Storage APIs and whether it is possible to find out where a digitial object is physically stored? Or whether it is possible to enhance the client side to handle the storage itself locally.

    Thanks in advance!

    Best regards
