Tickets resolved this week:
Tickets created this week:
Minutes
- Fedora 4.7.1 release status
- Two outstanding issues discovered:
- Causes problems of drop-in replacement, which is a problem for a point release.
- Changes syntax from RDF 1.0 -> RDF 1.1.
- Esmé Cowles supports the proposed fix, and will review and test.
- Kevin Ford will test as well.
- N.B. this will be removed in 4.8.0 release.
- Kevin Ford proposed creating a wiki page with basic info on releases that are planned.
- the upgrade of the underlying Jena library has had the effect of changing the serialization of the RDF you get back from Fedora- https://jira.duraspace.org/browse/FCREPO-2376 - This ticket surfaced during import/export work.
- Is this behaviour right or wrong? API specification would help aid this, and we have a how-to on how to add your own prefixes.
- Not a blocker for the 4.7.1 release.
- Nobody is opposed to a future PR that would bring back this behaviour.
- Esmé Cowles is going to investigate this further. Kevin Ford tested this too, and could not reproduce it either.
- Islandora testing - Nick Ruest will make sure testing happens on the Islandora side
- Two outstanding issues discovered:
- Opportunity to lead a user group
- Noting that there is a conference, and they are looking for somebody to help facilitate the session.
- Import/Export - Sprint 3
- Nick Ruest thanked the team for their great efforts during the sprint, and provided an overview of the sprint accomplishments. An announcement will be made to the mailing lists next week.
- Andrew Woods gave an overview of the verification tooling, and the work that needs to be done.
- Perf/Scale
- How to proceed with the group? It appears from a community perspective that the group is important, but we have little engagement and buy-in. How can we make the group work?
- Jan. 16th call will be used to address these issues
- New DevOps interest group... in collaboration with Islandora and Hydra
- Just an FYI. Katherine Lynch was interested in creating a group that brings together Islandora and Hydra communities around Fedora DevOps. More on this in the future.
