Anyone interested in hacking down the weeds on this?

I think there are a few interesting aspects to this:
- What should go in a "default" install (db choice, security settings,
ri on/off, etc)
- How do you put a proper .deb together for Fedora (manually)?
- How do you build a .deb automatically (so it can get easily updated
per-release)?
- What kind of cookies?

I don't see any reason for this to be limited to a .deb installer. If someone is more familiar with how to build another kind of installer (yum, urpm, Windows or Mac installers, etc) and wants to give this a shot, have at it. I personally would be very interested to see a Windows installer as I believe many people try out Fedora for the first time on Windows. I'd be happy to provide the cookies for that one.
